“Organic” and “natural” may appear close in everyday language, but they do not provide the same information to a shopper.
Organic is a regulated term
Within the EU system, organic production follows defined rules and controls. Eligible operators are checked, and products carrying the euro-leaf must meet the applicable production and labelling requirements.
Natural is not proof of organic certification
A product may describe flavour, ingredients or processing with words associated with nature. That wording alone does not confirm participation in the organic control system.
